Where exactly is the campsite?

Camping Torre de la Peña is located about 7 minutes by car from the town of Tarifa, in the direction of the beaches of Valdevaqueros and Bolonia

What is the check in and check out time?

For camping pitches, you can check in from 8:30 in the morning. Checkout is until 12 noon. For the bungalows, check-in is from 3:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:30 a.m., although, if you arrive and the bungalow is already ready to be delivered, we can offer it to you earlier, and also if it is not ready, You can use the rest of the campsite facilities and pick up your key at 3:00 p.m. at the latest.

Is there a supermarket at the campsite?
Yes, the campsite has a small supermarket located at the reception. From 8:30 a.m. you have freshly baked bread and pastries (croissants and Neapolitans) for sale. To make sure you don’t run out of your bread, you can order it the night before.
Is there a custody service for valuables in a safe?
Yes, there is a safe deposit box service. All bungalows have a safe. Our facilities have guards both day and night, as well as a surveillance camera system. However, we advise you not to leave valuables in plain sight.
Can I send my purchases to the campsite?
Yes, you can send your purchases to the campsite, they will arrive at reception, but do not forget to clearly indicate your name and surname on the shipment.
Is there a bus service to move around?

Unfortunately, the town of Tarifa only has a bus service between the campsites and the town during the summer months. The rest of the year there is no local bus service, but there is to go to the nearest cities such as Algeciras or Cádiz.

Are there special activities for children?

Unfortunately, at our campsite we do not offer special activities for children. We focus on providing a calm and relaxed environment for all of our clients, and we understand that vacations can have a different meaning for each person. If you are looking for a place where your children can play and have fun without restrictions, this may not be the right campsite for you.

During which period is the pool open?

The pool is open from Easter to November, and the hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Is there a restaurant at the campsite?
Yes, El chozo, which in addition to being the campsite restaurant is one of the most emblematic places in Tarifa Check the menu at Menu el Chozo , and don’t forget to reserve your table
Is there internet access at the campsite?

Although the connection does not reach the plots and bungalows, we have two Wi-Fi zones located one in the bar and social room and another in the reception and pool area. In the rooms, given its proximity to the pool and reception, the connection usually also arrives

What is the noise and silence policy?

At Camping Torre de la Peña we are very careful with noise and quiet hours. Our main mission is that a relaxing environment with little noise predominates, so music that may disturb other parcels is prohibited and quiet hours must always be respected.

How can I book?
Currently we only work with reservations for stays in bungalows or rooms, being able to contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp or by filling out the reservation request on the page. We will check availability, and once the dates have been specified, we will send you a reservation document, in which we explain how to make a deposit on account to make the reservation firm. For camping pitches, we do not work with reservations, you can contact us before your arrival, and we will inform you of the occupation at that time. If you are already a regular customer and you know the campsite well, provide us with your customer number, and we will try to save a place for you even if it is not officially.
How does the cancelling policy work?

• To formalize your reservation, it is necessary to make a payment on account corresponding to 30% of the total amount of your stay.

• If the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to your arrival, the amount will be refunded, discounting €30 for administration fees.

• If the cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to your arrival, it will result in the total loss of the amount delivered.

Can I practice windsurfing and surfing in front of the campsite?

The Torre de la Peña campsite offers a ramp that goes to the sea, which makes it very easy to go into the water to practice these sports

What are the wind conditions for windsurfing?

During the summer, the most normal thing is to have moderate easterly winds, between 15-25 knots and flat water. During the winter there can be winds from both east and west with a force of between 25-40 knots and normally a little more waves.

Can you practice kitesurfing at the campsite?

Right in front of the campsite it will not be possible most days to mount and lift the kite, but the nearest kitesurfing spots are no more than 10 min away on foot.

Is there a 24 hour security service at the campsite?

The entire camping facility is under surveillance 24 hours a day. Both day and night there is at least one guard making continuous rounds, and we also have an extensive system of surveillance cameras.
Despite this, and since our environment is a very quiet and safe place, we recommend that you keep an eye on your personal belongings and do not leave valuables in sight if you are not on the plot.

Is it possible to go hiking or cycling in the area?

The environment of Tarifa is a perfect place for hiking and cycling. From long walks on the beach or mountain trails with incredible views. The area also offers numerous paths and lanes for cycling and enjoying nature.

How can I go to Tarifa without moving my vehicle from the campsite?

The bus that connects the camping area and hotels only works in July and August. By taxi there is usually no problem to go, from the campsite reception we manage the call. It takes around 10 minutes to get to the campsite (in times of large influx of people in Tarifa it may take a little longer), and the cost is around 13 euros each way

Is the water in sinks, baths and fountains drinkable?
All the water in the campsite is drinkable.
Are there discounts for belonging to a camper club?
Currently we do not have a concert with any association of campers. Our discounts are based on the number of nights.
