Tarifa is the southernmost geographic point of western Europe, a few kilometers from the African continent, in the province of Cadiz.
It has around 40 km of sandy beaches and shallow, flanked by the mountains nearby, between the valleys of the old Laguna de la Janda. Noteworthy is the next Natural Park of the Acorns, which can find a rich vegetation and narrow river valleys embedded in the rock with its own microclimate that conserves the Tertiary vegetation and important fauna among which are deer, roe deer, foxes and genets, constipation other species.
In the coastal include Los Lances Beach, declared a Natural Park, and others such as La Caleta, Playa Chica beach and beach Valdevaqueros Bologna, the latter two dominated by its famous dunes. From them can be seen every year on bird migratory path between Europe and Africa, being one of the meeting of experts and birdwatchers from around the world. Also, as we enter the waters of the strait, you can enjoy the encounter with dolphins, whales, sperm whales and killer whales as they pass through these waters.
